Secretary of the Arts Petition
Quincy Jones has started a petition to ask President-Elect Obama to appoint a Secretary of the Arts. While many other countries have had Ministers of Art or Culture for centuries, the United States has never created such a position. The country, and the artists, need this now more than ever. What? Is that true? How is that possible? Such a great country and you don't have a secretary to promote someting as basic as culture... unbelievable... Mexico has one, and it has a long history behind it. I hope you guys can get what you want, you totally deserve it... Good luck!!!!
