Jonathan LeVine Gallery Group Show...

Here's some work in progress of my contribution to Jonathan LeVine's Annual Summer Invitational. I started off with a lot of large, bluish washes over the entire paper. I used a paper towel to lift out the wet paint from the center of the image where I wanted to keep it lighter. The past few days have been focused on the figure which is starting to come together nicely.

i must admit that you're one of the most brilliant and talented artist in the field... can't wait to see it finished. By the way a technical question: do you still use acrylic on water paper? :)

Most of my paintings are acrylic on watercolor paper. That's what I'm working with on this piece as well. Thanks.
